What does the Sector Support Team do in ING?
We are thrilled to offer an exciting internship opportunity to join the Sector Support team, an integral part of the Sector Coverage organization within ING’s Wholesale Bank (WB).Our team is responsible for the relationship management of WB clients with focus on leveraging ING’s deep sector knowledge to originate commercial opportunities with these clients. This includes working closely with product stakeholders on the origination and execution of lending, transaction services, financial market, capital market and advisory deals. Ensuring a positive client experience is a critical aspect and the Sector Support team plays a key role in ensuring a seamless client experience.
What would you be doing?
Collaborate with the KYC Client Outreach team and Customer Due Diligence (CDD) analysts to track and manage CDD deadlines.
Facilitate the KYC Onboarding and renewal process by coordinating, tracking and liaising with sector teams and internal stakeholders.
Assist the Front Office operations by monitoring client activities, transactions and settlements.
Support the Account Opening by collaborating with the Operations team and maintaining proper documentation.
Conduct data extraction and analysis from various sources to ensure quality and identify key insights and trends.
Assist in preparing reports, dashboards and visualisations that present data patterns and provide valuable insights to decision-making.
Other activities or projects to enhance commercial activities.
What qualities, skills and other criteria are we looking for?
We are looking for a passionate individual who meets the following criteria:
Student pursuing a degree in a relevant field
Relevant internship experience with financial products, compliance, KYC or wholesale banking
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong attention to detail
Ability to deliver high standards under pressure and short deadlines
Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong and independent, and able to learn quickly on the fly
