Senior Principal Scientist, Isce2

To set the mandate and lead a National Chemical Biotechnology Translational Center (NCBTC) which encompass the competency and capacity to put Singapore in the forefront of translational synthetic biology for energy & specialty chemicals across different industries.
To convene different stakeholders in Singapore ecosystem to buy in on the NCBTC vision and strategy.
To put together a proposal or equivalent to secure funding.
To spearhead research program(s) that will enable A*STAR to build up bioprocess, scale up and downstream innovation capabilities for biobased chemicals
To strengthen the synthetic biology team through appropriate talent recruitment in A*STAR
To support the grooming of next generation talents by serving as mentor
**Key requirements**:
PhD in biochemistry, synthetic biology or equivalent
At least 20 years' experiences in the field; global scientific leadership in the field
Experienced in leading and managing large research groups and programmes
Ability to work with multiple stakeholders across a diverse ecosystem
Ability to foster collaborative research, promote cohesive and conclusive environment for productive research
Ability to mentor and groom next generation of scientists or researchers
