**Purpose and Scope**
As a Commercial Strategy Manager, your primary purpose is to maximise the value capture of our energy portfolio through combining commercial strategy development and data analytics.
You will work both independently and collaboratively with a team to analyze and distill information to hypothesize, test, and develop recommendations.
**Key Roles and Responsibilities**
1. Lead the ideation and development of optimization/ modelling frameworks for the Energy Commercial team, which spans across Gas, Power and Utilities business.
2. Consolidate, analyze and prepare visualization of data to support decision making.
3. Develop strategies and tools to optimize the energy portfolio.
4. Lead energy portfolio optimisation projects for various energy asset types including:
a. Energy Storage Systems (ESS)
b. Solar Generators
c. Conventional Thermal Generators
5. Provide support on strategy development with core strategy skills - structuring, story lining, analytics, business case development, workshop facilitation, project management.
6. Any other ad hoc duties as assigned
**Qualifications & Experience**
1. 3-4 years of experience in strategy / business model creation in a consulting firm / energy company
2. Degree/Masters in engineering / economics/ business / computing
3. Experience in the Energy/Power & Utilities preferred but not mandatory
**Skills/competencies & Preferred Characteristics**
1. Excellent problem solving, strategic thinking and analytical skills
2. Able to digest complex real world problems and articulate key messages
3. Self-starter, resourceful and independent learner
4. Thrive on close collaboration and teamwork
5. Programming skills (Python, Excel VBA etc) preferred but not mandatory
