Senior Manager

**Responsibilities**:
**Strategy and Planning**
- Oversees the development and execution of strategies and planning for Development & Testbed operations within business units in supporting and enabling the Tech & NPD objectives
- Works collaboratively with VP & Head of Technology to communicate advancements in technology and proposes ideas for innovation in order to advance Tech & NPD position within the marketplace
- Establishes enterprise architecture aligning business and technical capabilities into a clear and comprehensive vision with implementation strategies and delivery roadmaps for Development & Testbed
- Leads proactive product and solutions evaluation that align with Tech & NPD strategy for cross-functional teams in meeting the safety, costing and schedule requirements
- Works with members of the senior management team to further department and company goals, including planning, reviewing and controlling the annual budget for Tech & NPD activities
- Establishes and maintains strong collaborative development partnerships with subcontractors, tertiary institutions, opinion leaders and key customers in establishing leading edge in the testbed operations In order to ensure Tech & NPD functions efficiently and effectively to drive business segment results

**Technology Management
- Oversees resources planning in all units, ensuring the availability of expertise for production, overtime and cost management in executing strategies for achieving operational efficiency and effectiveness
- Responsible for the effective management and smooth running of the operations, streamlining the administrative processes in maintaining the profit and loss of projects executed within the business units
- Reviews the flow of information between business units to relevant departments and follows through action plans to ensure they are properly executed and meet the performance targets for the business units
- Addresses and/or escalates all the testbed machineries, equipments and tools issues affecting the processes and reviews assets list and justifies the purchasing of new material with attention to the budgetary constraint
- Responsible for reviewing and improvising reporting formats in Development and Testbed, including coordinating the reports for senior management meetings
- Keeps abreast with all organisational changes and business development to facilitate business units in achieving the set target by adjusting and adapting to the changes and priorities In order to drive forward continuous improvement, seeking efficiencies while maintaining adequate controls in the operation

**Technology Improvement
- Oversees and manages the execution of Tech & NPD testbed development, test and demonstration studies in improving the testbed operations to ensure the Tech & NPD objectives and goals have been met
- Explores opportunities for further collaboration, evaluates and assesses enquiries from potential business partners and generates proposals to develop new partnership opportunities for Tech & NPD
- Monitors and facilitates continuous improvements in operating efficiencies that are aligned with the strategic objective in generating more efficient, safe and cost effective operation
- Initiates improvement in the Tech & NPD testbed development, test and demonstration by integrating consistent research technical support standards, best practices, methodologies and theories
- Oversees the handling of problems and issues, evaluating the effectiveness of the processes and provides expert inputs to the remediation plans in order to address root causes for the implementation of corrective actions
- Arranges and coordinates training for staff in all the areas based on their evaluated performances to ensure the accurate execution of procedures, when necessary In order to provide effective analysis and solutions to the existing operational problems and offers improvement for process enhancement

**Team Management
- Leads, develops and mentors team members to achieve functional objectives
- Sets objectives with the team members, monitor and evaluate their performance, make recommendations or approve and implement actions, such as promotions and corrective action
- Provides career development guidance
- Executes routine administrative responsibilities (e.g. leave and course approvals), and resolves other HR related issues In order to allow team members to grow and develop, ensuring the team operates productively and efficiently and contributes to the success of the business

**Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) Management System Support
- Incorporates HSEQ work cultures and best practices to ensure the successful implementation of HSEQ management systems
