Overview
The Investment Product Analyst (IPA) is part of the Investment Product Services (IPS) team within Capital Group’s (CG) Europe and Asia-Pacific business. IPS partners with Investment Specialists (IS) to deliver deep expertise on CG’s investment strategies both internally and externally. Collectively they are the voice of CG’s investment strategies. The IPS and IS teams are two sides of the same coin, with IS focusing on external meetings, and IPS originating investment insights for use by the IS team. The role of the IPA function is to support IPS broadly across CG’s investment strategies, with particular focus on leading competitor analysis to gain insight into peers and broader investment trends. The IPS role also contributes to conversations on the strategic direction of Capital Group’s offering as well as providing support on product positioning messages.
The person in this role will partner with IPS on a range of queries across CG’s fixed income investment strategies. The individual will need to be able to quickly develop a good understanding of CG’s investment approach, fixed income investment strategies and an ability to synthesize information to enable CG associates to speak credibly to its strengths. In addition, they will partner with the Client teams to better identify opportunities in the competitor landscape for CG’s investment strategies.
This individual must also have two key qualities: self-motivation, and highly collaborative across multiple teams and geographies.
**Job Description**:
- Partners with IPS to build a good understanding of CG’s fixed income investment strategies- Collaborates with IPS to create and update investment content to support the Investment Specialists, Marketing and Client Group.- Communicates market events and their impact on CG’s fixed income investment strategies in a clear and concise manner- Understands market trends and competitor landscape to provide detailed competitor analysis- Combines product, market trends and competitor knowledge to identify key positioning messages and sales opportunities for Client teams- Contributes to the overall strategy of Capital Group’s fixed income business, including new product strategy efforts- Builds positive working relationships with key internal stakeholders across Capital Group’s Europe, Asia and North American business through understanding their issues and showing them the benefits of partnering as a team
- In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings._
