HOYA Technosurgical, is a subsidiary of HOYA Corporation, established in Tokyo, Japan in 2013, which has the origin of PENTAX medical business unit in 1974 arising from the merger of former PENTAX medical business unit & Japan Universal Technologies, Inc. HOYA Technosurgical will be setting up their first overseas plant in Singapore focusing on manufacturing, research & development and sale of Chromatography Media to pharmaceutical companies. The plant manufactures and sells medical devices, such as Artificial Bone Graft Substitutes, Metal Orthopedic Implant and Medical Loupe, along with Chromatography Media.

This position supports the Production Team in setting up the manufacturing plant and achieve future production targets, while ensuring high quality output.

Key duties and responsibilities:
**Setting up the manufacturing plant**:

- Assist Production Supervisor in creation of documents and miscellaneous items purchase
- Act as lead Manufacturing member in Installation, Validation, and operation of equipment
- Liaise with Facility Engineer on setting up Maintenance plan for equipment
- Train Operators In documentation and operating process equipment’s.

**Production & Operations**:

- Perform routine equipment maintenance, trouble shooting and minor repair
- Provide technical advice to the team members when required
- Maintain work health and safety standards
- Maintain clean workstations and production floor
- Assist Process Engineer in developing or testing of new product/process
- Ensure all production documents are updated and correctly captured
- Assist production supervisor and motivate production team in achieving daily production loading requirements
- Maintained proper, accurate counts and complete production records
- Ability to work at heights and confined spaces.
- Report all scrap
- Oversee finalizing and packaging products for shipment
- To provide recommendations for continuous process improvement and operational efficiency, where necessary
- To perform manpower rescheduling, whenever necessary
- Provide guidance and training to new staff or cross-training
- Other process related ad-hoc assignments as assigned by the Production Supervisor

**Education**:

- Minimum ITE-NITECH level or higher education

**Skills & Knowledge**:

- Basic Microsoft office skills for Excel, Words and Power-point
- Detail-oriented and strong record-keeping skills
- Good technical knowledge and hands-on experience on machine operating methods and safety procedures
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Positive attitude and good team player
- Strong supervisory qualities

**Experience**:

- Prior working experience in manufacturing industry
- At least 5 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to operate manufacturing machinery
- Possesses physical dexterity and able to manage heavy loads
- Comfortable with shift work

**Salary**: $2,300.00 - $3,500.00 per month
