**About the Role**:
Our client is a leading player in higher learning sector. As the Head of Procurement, you will play a critical leadership role in driving the next wave of growth and expansion, to make happen heightened procurement excellence and governance.

You will be responsible for optimizing sourcing strategies and supplier risk assessment to further enhance the standards of the organisation’s service delivery, ensuring operational excellence aligned with end-to-end procurement efficiency and compliance.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide strong operational leadership for both direct and indirect categories concerned, including that of developing the concept of category management etc.
- Lead procurement transformation and improved supplier management for the organisation.
- Develop and roll out strategic sourcing methodology, implementing change management from tactical to strategic sourcing mentality.
- Take charge of key improvement projects to streamline and optimize both strategic sourcing and tactical purchasing activities, including that of system enhancements, where applicable.
- Spearhead process improvement initiatives aligned with the organization’s mission to make happen procurement excellence, to maintain high-quality service delivery.

People & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, manage and develop a lean and strong team, fostering a high-performance culture with strong people management competency.
- Demonstrate excellent influencing skills by means of engaging internal key decision-makers, relevant regulators, as well as existing and new suppliers to make happen maximum corporate accountability and procurement governance.
- Strategic communicator with good ability to gain maximum buy-in from important internal and external stakeholders involved, as so to bring forth effective and efficient procurement transformation onsite.
- Good change management skills to identify and streamline existing operational processes in line with business growth and strategic contracts negotiations.
- Actively inculcate and promote a culture of trust, integrity, and care, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and values.

**Qualifications & Experience**
- Degree in Supply Chain Management, Science, Engineering, Business Management
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in procurement management, including strategic sourcing, category management and purchasing management, **preferably with working knowledge in IT/technology category.**:

- Proven track records in leading **procurement transformation and centralization**.
- Excellent leadership capability, versatile in managing senior stakeholders and advocating constructive procurement improvement implementations on the ground.
