**A day in the life of...**
- Drive innovation (Biotransformation and Flavour and Structure Design) within the ASEAN businesses
- Develop business specific S&T roadmaps for key categories
- Drive the translation of scientific discoveries into business relevant Science & Technology Building Blocks
- Leverage knowledge from NR, R&D Expert Networks, Task Forces and other businesses
- Liaise with external partners from industry and academia to enhance internal scientific competence, identify, jointly develop and insource technologies
- Ensure adequate protection of generated knowledge
- Develop business specific scientific competencies enabling innovation/renovation and manufacturing excellence
- Organize Science & Technology days and ensure content and agenda drive relevant output
- Lead science resources to sustainably build and maintain R&D expertise on key business specific S&T areas
- Concentrate scientific expertise on categories; resources are exceptionally shared between categories where such concentration is not possible.
- Provide scientific support to business specific Product and Application Groups

**What will make you successful**
- PhD in chemistry, microbiology, food science and technology or related disciplines
- At least 10 years work experience in R&D or related environment
- Has a minimum 5 years experience in managing projects
- Has a minimum 1 year experience in Operations and/or technical/commercial function in SBU (through missions or assignments)
- Has successfully led a larger group of people and has developed people
- Has managed a matrix like structure in an functionally structured environment.
- Has demonstrated the courage and ability to take decisions and solve problems.
- Has proven communication skills (Presents confidently and convincingly to steering committees. Has participated in Strategic Conferences.)
- Has experience in the briefing process
