**Senior Cabin Safety/Avionics Design Engineer**

Due to continued growth, we have an exciting
- **permanent** opportunity for 2x Senior Cabin Safety/Avionics Design Engineers to join our Commercial Aerospace Team in either
- **Ireland** or
- **Singapore**.
- As a Senior Cabin Safety/Avionics Design Engineer operating in the design organisation, you are responsible for development of designs and certification activities for projects assigned to you. This includes the development of the required design outputs (models, drawings, reports, documents etc) in readiness for approval. You are also responsible for checking, compliance verification and/or office of airworthiness approval of design outputs in accordance with your delegated authorisation in the design organisation.**What you’ll actually do**
- Lead the team assigned to the project as Design and/or Certification Leader in the development and/or certification of design and/or design artefacts, as tasked and delegated by the Operations Director or delegate.
- Lead the resolution of any technical issues of assigned projects within the team or with production organizations, maintenance organizations and suppliers/vendors.
- Development of designs and/or design artefacts in accordance with EASA Design handbook in line with the scope, schedule and budget of assigned projects as part of the project team, working collaboratively with other members of the design organization, and/or MRO and/or suppliers/vendors.
- Develop designs that are compliant with the requirements of the project, including but not limited to compliance with the customer specification, functional requirements, appropriate certification requirements, established design practices, and producibility requirements.
- Discharge your delegated authority and responsibility as checker, compliance verification engineer and/or Office of Airworthiness Representative per the Design handbook, if delegated by the Design Organization.
- Conduct aircraft survey and/or provide onsite installation design support at MRO to resolve any technical issues related to design and/or design artefact, as directed by Operations Director or delegate.
- Support the development of Engineering Standards, technical competency development framework training materials and/or capability/process improvement initiatives, as directed by Operations Director, Principal Design Engineer or delegate.
- Support competency development of design engineers by conducting training, mentoring and coaching them in your discipline.
- Provide technical support to Business Development/Sales Manager in the development of quotes that is technically sound and with all technical risks managed appropriately, as directed by Operations Director or delegate.
- Liaison with the Customer, Project Manager or delegate of the assigned project for delivery of design, certification, production, installation design support elements of the project in line with your allocated task budget and schedule, proactively providing feedback on the progress and status of the assigned tasks.
- For projects which you are assigned as Project Leader by the Operations Director or delegate:

- Development and promulgation of Project plan and Kick-off Briefs as directed by the Operations Director or delegate.
- Achieving profitable results in line with established budgets.
- Report project progress, issues and resolutions to the Operations Director or delegate on regular basis.
- Achieving high quality and timely service delivery.
- Coordination of all project elements in accordance with the established project scope, budget and schedule.

**What you’ll need**
- Eligibility to work in either Ireland or Singapore
- Previous aerospace engineering experience (5+ years), specifically working in EASA, FAA or UK CAA design organisations
- Tertiary education or qualifications in Engineering (aerospace, mechanical, electrical or mechatronics)
- Competence in one or more of the following technical domains:

- For Cabin Safety-Cabin interior crashworthiness (AC25-17A) including but not limited to flammability, emergency evacuation, emergency exit markings and lighting, emergency landing dynamic conditions.
- For electrical/avionics design - RTCA DO-178 and DO-254, system safety analysis, electrical loads analysis, EWIS.
- Competence in AutoCAD or similar 2D CAD tools.
- Experience working around and on aircraft to perform aircraft surveys and embodiment of modifications.
- Sound knowledge of acceptable methods, techniques, and practices for aircraft maintenance per AC43.13 and/or CAP562 and/or Aircraft OEM maintenance manuals and standard practices.
- Sound knowledge of civil regulatory requirements and associated advisory circulars related to design (e.g. Part 21, CS-23, CS-25, AC25-17A, AC25.562).
