Software Engineering Program Manager

This role will be based in Singapore Design Center. As be part of the HP Personal System Global R&D team, this design center will focus on NB/PC products.

As a Software Engineering Program Manager, the responsibilities will include
- Manage and lead a program involving multiple software/firmware functions and project teams to drive the engineering development and implementation process for a product or service offering.
- Develop and direct software/firmware development of schedules, critical deliverables, budget, resource allocation plan, and other support requirements for assigned program.
- Manage activities of supporting project teams and internal development partners; ensure progress against established plan and makes determinations based on analysis of business information to alter or update schedule and resource allocation to meet product requirements and development schedule.
- Communicate program progress, escalations, and issue analysis to product stakeholders; collaborate with management and internal manufacturing and development partners to recommend and implement changes to product, processes, or business practices to resolve escalated issues, produce solutions, and ensure adherence to budgets and established product roadmaps and schedules
- Drive innovation and integration of new technologies and quality initiatives into projects and activities in the manufacturing and/or engineering organization.
- Lead projects that affect the organization's long-term goals and objectives.
- Leverage recognized domain expertise, business acumen, and experience to influence decisions of executive business leadership, outsourced development partners, and industry standards groups.

We’re looking for talents with
- Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent major.
- Typically 8+ years experience in system/software program management.
- PMP/PMI certification preferred.
- Extensive experience with using project and program planning tools and software packages to create, manage, and track project results.
- Understanding Manufacturing / factory process is a plus
- Excellent analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated business acumen and successful experience managing all aspects of programs, including communicating with stakeholders and directing matrixed teams and resources.
- Ability to effectively communicate program plans, proposals, and results, and negotiate options at senior management levels.
