You will be working closely with your leader, Senior Policy Lead to develop and test policies to ensure a safe environment and experience on Aaqua. **Your Purpose** Your role as Policy Intern will focus on research and policy testing. Where possible, you will also be exposed to policy-related cross-functional work such as operations, enforcement, escalations, partnerships, law enforcement response, and product feature development. **Your Learnings** We are committed to your learnings and will guide you; - To think more critically, both quantitively and qualitatively, about policymaking. - To enhance your understanding of Social Media Global Startup, and the networking required to succeed - To improve your breadth and depth of understanding of Safety & Integrity as it applies to society. - To help gain experience of working with a wide variety of stakeholders to deliver results. **Your Focus** Your contribution will include: - Policy testing - Research into online safety and social media usage - Reviewing and researching sensitive content - Working with the policy team and cross-functional teams on best practice for safety and integrity **Your Journey** Ideally you will have experience in or exposure to the following: - Avid social media user - Follows and has opinions on trending socio-political topics - Interest in online safety - Great written skills - Critical thinking skills - Strong attention to detail - Self-driven - Able to work well cross functionally and build collaborative relationships - Comfortable with reviewing and researching sensitive content **Why work with us** At Aaqua we are committed to real economic value distribution and this extends to our people.
