**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As the Experience Design (XD) Lead, you are crazy about User Experience. You are the advocate of Design Thinking and Customer Centricity. The ultimate customer experience is what you dream daily and you seek to make that a reality in every project that gets past your door.

You are infectious with energy and brimming with ideas when working with your team of UX and UI designers to deliver great experiences for our clients. You love sparring on ideas, putting them under a microscope. You value new thinking, new technology and new approaches, or simply seeing old problems from new perspectives.

This newly created leadership role will be based in our Jakarta office, you will work closely with the leadership team to diagnose and dissect the brief. You will also be the team’s coach to mentor the younger team members.and will be leading a group of hgh energy, enthusiastic and dynamic team members.

This means you:
1. Impeccable Taste: You’re a very good designer with great taste.

2. Solution Oriented: You know damn well that design is about people and solutions, not only how it looks.

3. Design Thinking Advocate. Understand the Design Thinking process and are able to lead the process for our clients to come up with innovative solutions based on users’ needs. This include:
a. Discover: Primary & Secondary (UX) research

b. Define: Lead collaborative workshops in Figjam (or Miro/Mural) to come up with innovative solutions

c. Design: Lead the wireframes and design of the solutions in Figma

d. Implement: Work together with the PMO and Tech departments to implement solutions.

4. Modern Practitioner: You know all about design, tools and methodologies to create solutions for design problems. E.g. you love Figma, Sketch and the Adobe Creative Suite.

5. Leadership: You’re a beloved leader of designers and interns. You attract fantastic people and inspire them to do the best work of their careers.

6. Charming: You love working with clients, and clients love you right back.

7. Make things happen: You can take what is sometimes only an imperceptible hint of an idea, and with your team nudge and wrench it into a beautiful existence.

8. T-Shaped: You’ve got a grasp on the technology your designs are built on, and you work well with the developers and product managers who make it happen.

9. Experience: You’ve spent at least 4 years at an agency, a startup or a similar organisation.

10. Values Champion: You understand our company culture and values, and you help us maintain them. But you’re also not afraid to intellectually spar with our CEO to get the right solution

Note:
XD Lead is a senior position. Experience and interest in managing and building a team as a visionary leader is required for the position.
