**Role Purpose**
This is a highly collaborative role, reporting to the APAC Chief Business Officer. The Head of Gaming is responsible for strategically leveraging opportunities to cement dentsu as the leading solutions offering across the current and prospective clients across key portfolios. As craft expert in the field, you deliver and drive coherent plans to generate more profitable revenue and possibilities for dentsu to pivot to growth in pragmatic leading-edge manner.
The role is designed to take an outside-in regional approach, by leveraging your craft knowledge
within the gaming space, you will identify strategic initiatives to drive greater influence across the
geography with Market / Cluster Practice Leaders and Cluster / Market business leaders within APAC. You will help establish a coherent and naturally interconnecting community of practitioners across the region. You will help analyze, design and setup the relevant regional / cluster in alignment with the cluster / Market leadership.
By evaluating business opportunities through analysis inclusive of competitive analysis and deeper
technical analysis, you are instrumental in bringing together better go-to-market pursuits. You will
work collaboratively with the other leaders and capability teams to identify, solution and deliver newmarket opportunities with greater levels of growth and position the business to win for longer term success within the field of gaming as dentsu continues on our client-centric transformation journey inclusive of connection points across other practices where applicable.
**Key Responsibilities**
Leadership & Advisory
- Build & implement an innovative annual business plan that aligns with gaming audience
trends to meet marketing objectives & in harmony with global guidelines. The focus is on
the Asia pacific gaming community, with a view to maximize consumer impact using a
holistic marketing and sales approach.
- Support the Market business and gaming capability and leadership with the execution of the
strategies across key markets.
- Evaluate the competitiveness of our gaming capability and bring together a diverse range of
craft / specialist leaders across the Asia Pacific
- Drive commercial and sales excellence within the gaming opportunities, improving visibility
and driving margin with the support of the APAC Chief Business Officer, Japan
- With a strategic and innovative mindset, you will deliver our client engagements in the most
effective manner with leading edge solutions.
- Work collaboratively and effectively to utilize assets, knowledge, and resources at dentsu
Japan to build unique dentsu JAPAC gaming offerings
Innovative Strategy & Consulting
- Support the scoping and delivery of key regional strategic pitches and RFPs with the
support of the practices.
- You are identified as the executive sponsor, to drive the deals within the space, liaise with
the global and Japan teams where applicable, leveraging your strategy knowledge to shape
winning outcomes for dentsu.
Strategic Solutioning
- Known as a technical expert in the field of gaming & entertainment, you realise the
opportunity and can convert into outcomes through effectively understanding their
audiences’ gaming habits shaping for the gaming arena tomorrow with a innovative
forward lens.
- Work with innovative brands and leadership to expand dentsu footprint in the target
audience growth area.
- Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making, providing insights into market
trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes.
- Drive the successful implementation of the key priorities linked to the broader solutions
and dentsu asia pacific strategy by collaborating with a virtual team across business to
drive results in the field.
- Uplift dentsu gaming knowledge and market eminence via the appropriate channels and
points of exposure in the marketplace.
