You monitor, analyse and respond to cybersecurity alerts and incidents in the operation centre. On this, you conduct investigations on security alerts that occur within the network system to identify any network risks. You also analyse and evaluate the operational impact and remediation actions for cybersecurity-related incidents that have been triaged. You take on the task of incident handling which includes verification of threats with network administrators, liaising and coordinating with affected stakeholders to contain and initiate remedial actions on impacted systems. Your challenge lies in the need to rapidly and accurately triage a high volume of security alerts which demands sharp analytical skills. You also have to manage the operational impact of escalated cyber incidents, while collaborating with other entities to consolidate data which requires effective communication in high pressure situations. In addition, you execute incident handling which requires both technical proficiency and strong interpersonal skills.

You must have a tertiary qualification in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or equivalent discipline, with at least 2 years' work experience in the cybersecurity field. Certification in GIAC Security Operations Certified (GSOC) and/or GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) is preferred. Experience in threat detection, incident response and security tool management are essential. You must also be proficient in security operations centre tools such as SIEM, IDS, IPS and EDR, and have good knowledge of network protocols.
