[What the role is]
We are looking for enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our team managing the Central Catchment Nature Reserve and surrounding Nature Parks. Your role will be crucial in ensuring visitors have a safe and enjoyable experience, as well as conserving our biodiversity.
**[What you will be working on]**
Your role would include the following:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the Central Catchment Nature Reserves and adjacent Nature Parks
- Plan and implement initiatives under the Nature Conservation Masterplan to enhance habitats and ecological connectivity
- Coordinate wildlife management projects and biodiversity surveys
- Engage with various stakeholders to foster community stewardship
**[What we are looking for]**
- Degree in Life Science, Environmental Science or related discipline
- Possess strong interpersonal, written and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, balancing competing needs to achieve project objectives
- Quick-thinking and resourceful, capable of managing on-site issues efficiently
- Preferably with relevant experience in GIS mapping and background in scientific research and data interpretation
- Has a keen interest in nature and comfortable working in outdoor environmentsPossession of a valid class 3 driving license will be advantageous
