ROLE SUMMARY

You will be leading the mRNA manufacturing team, reporting directing to ACE, BMRC. This team is responsible for leading high priority mRNA manufacturing and will work with various scientific leads within A-Star. The role will also require close collaborations with BMRC Council, other RIs working in mRNA-based vaccines and therapeutics and Enterprise for industry collaborations. As part of this team, you will work directly with senior leaders, including the RI EDs, Council and Enterprise Directors to develop a roadmap for the mRNA platform to build long term capabilities in Singapore. You will leverage your strong experience in R&D strategy to drive complex cross-functional projects.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Drive select projects within mRNA manufacturing to develop end-to-end capabilities and deliver business critical performance. These projects may include:

- Leading select scientific projects including
- Circular mRNA synthesis, Plasmid Production, RM synthesis
- In-vitro transcription, purification, encapsulation and formulation
- Quality control and attributes.
- Develop innovative mRNA bioprocessing technology
- Scope and win grants
- Collaborate with industry players

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Ph.D in relevant field
- Strong knowledge of the biopharmaceutical industry
- Experience leading complex strategic projects to drive organizational change while balancing potential impacts on the R&D pipeline, financials, and strategic position.
- Able to communicate complex information and delivering impactful recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Experience leading cross-functional teams in a matrix organisation.
- Preferably have 3 years strategic planning experience in a top-tier management consulting firm or in-house strategy team in a biopharmaceutical company.
