**Role Summary**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Cost Analysis & Reporting**:
- Analyze product, labor, and material costs, and prepare detailed reports to support financial decision-making.
- Develop and maintain standard costs and manage cost updates and variances.
- Review and analyze cost data to identify trends and recommend adjustments to optimize production costs.
- Prepare and oversee cost of good manufacturing and inventory monthly close, and analyze actuals with forecasts, and budgets as well as other ad-hoc reports for management.
**Inventory Management**:
- Monitor and reconcile inventory accounts, ensuring accurate reporting and valuation.
- Conduct monthly and annual physical inventory counts and coordinate cycle counts as needed.
- Manage inventory reserves, and make recommendations for adjustments based on current and forecasted needs.
**Financial Planning & Analysis**:
- Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing detailed cost data and analysis.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to improve costing and efficiency.
- Develop and analyze key cost metrics, helping teams understand cost drivers and work to reduce waste.
**Internal Controls & Process Improvement**:
- Ensure compliance with internal control policies, company standards, and GAAP.
- Continuously seek to improve cost accounting processes and systems, identify gaps, and implement best practices.
- Support the financial audit process by preparing and reviewing cost-related documents.
**Cost System Maintenance**:
- Maintain and update the cost accounting system, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Work closely with IT and ERP systems teams to resolve costing issues and optimize the system's performance.
**Education Qualification & Essential Experiences**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in Fab/Manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and cost accounting principles.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and advanced MS Excel skills.
**Key Competencies**:
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to process improvement.
- High level of integrity and commitment to ethical standards.
