Assistant Manager, Mental Health

This role focuses on exploring and evaluating innovative and novel ways of addressing existing or emerging gaps and needs in the community mental health landscape, through research, data analysis and ground sensing (e.g. surveys and focus groups), particularly in the area of youth mental health.
This can involve piloting new models of care or new service models, and developing new enablers.
**Key scope and coverage**:
- Identify emerging trends and needs in the mental health landscape through analysis of data from literature research, reviewing overseas mental health strategies / services and key stakeholder engagements.
- Plan, engage and facilitate conversations with stakeholders to maintain understanding of ground practices and identify opportunities for collaboration that is in line with the Division’s directives.
- Explore new service models and proposals to assess their relevance to the existing or emerging gaps and needs observed in sector for youth mental health, including the implementation of feasible pilots and initiatives where appropriate and the evaluation of those projects.
- Pilot and provide recommendations for the scaling of youth mental health programmes to better support youths with mental health issues and their caregivers
**Educational Qualifications**
- Undergraduate degree preferably in healthcare-related discipline, with a preference for mental health qualification.
**Relevant Experience**
- At least 3 years’ experience in healthcare or community care sectors.
- Prior work experience in youth work, mental health or programme design is preferred.
- Experience in literature research, project management, and data analysis are essential.
