Corporate & Investment Banking - Financial Sponsors

As an Associate in the Sponsor Coverage team you will be responsible for marketing and executing FX & Rates transactions with Sponsor clients as well as developing and maintaining client relationships.

**Job responsibilities**:

- You will need to demonstrate proficiency in understanding market drivers and identifying product opportunities while having a sound grasp of the private sponsors business (private equity, credit and infrastructure funds) and financial risk management frameworks
- You will be expected to drive client revenue growth focusing on Financial Sponsor clients based in Singapore - developing client account strategies to deepen existing client wallets as well as prospecting new clients for business across Asia
- This will require a collaborative approach working with our business partners in sales, trading, research, and banking to provide comprehensive client coverage across the APAC platform including providing clients with risk management solutions and market intelligence

**Required qualifications, capabilities and skills**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics or other related disciplines
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Coverage in an Investment Bank or working with a Financial Sponsor
- Sound grasp of Financial Sponsors business across private equity, credit and infrastructure funds
- Strong understanding of fundamental market and product knowledge; FX, FXO and Rates (flow and structured)
- Critical thinker with strong analytical skills to drive trade ideas and themes for clients
- Established track record for establishing, developing and maintaining client relationships
- Strong qualitative skill set including effective communication and presentation skills
- Strong team player that partners well within the immediate team and with key external stakeholders

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills***
- Exposure to Asian restricted markets (onshore regulations) and curves across FX & Rates will be beneficial for client engagement
- Basic understanding of sponsor fund structures and financing solutions will be preferred
- As this role may interact with Chinese clients, fluent business level written/spoken Mandarin will be a good skill to have
