Our client is a Trading Consultant and Training company specializing in energy commodity trading. Due to business needs, they are now recruiting a Commodities Trading Advisor to be part of their team for ongoing business development and delivery of Training and Assessment programs. You will generally work independently in Singapore but will need to communicate closely with other team members in London.
- Using your expert knowledge of the trading concepts and instruments involved in Energy AND Commodity trading, you will deliver a suite of training programs, incorporating our ‘in-house’ proprietary trading simulation platform;
- Deliver trading commercial skills assessment programs for a multitude of clients using your proven knowledge of the commercial skills required for successful trading. You will work with other team members to write detailed assessment reports on the delegates based on your extensive notes and observations recorded during the program;
- Develop the business activity within Asia Pacific, utilizing both your proven and existing trading relationships and your credibility within the industry. You will consult with potential clients, listening to and understanding their learning and development needs and using your expertise to provide detailed formal proposals and negotiate contractual terms;
- Develop and deliver structured learning curricula which meet the criteria of the client’s requirements and training objectives;
- Manage client relationships across all levels of their organization and manage the relationships with a number of collaborative business partners;
- Develop new scenarios for our trading simulation platform, creating market commentaries, price curves, and cargo opportunities.

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's Degree, with a minimum of 15 years experience directly involved in Energy Trading,
including time spent at a senior level in your organization;
- Expert level of understanding of commodity trading concepts and the associated
trading instruments.
- In-depth knowledge of all energy commodity markets (Oil, Gas, LNG, Power and
Emissions) is preferred.
- In-depth understanding of the various roles and activities across the front, middle, and back offices of
a trading organization;
- In-depth understanding of risk management techniques, exposure management and
CTRM/ETRM systems and relevant processes;
- Proven track record of developing learning curricula and delivering successful training
programs;
- Proven track record of managing client relationships up to and including C-suite level
engagements;
- Expert level knowledge of Refinery commercial optimization;
- High level of communication skills, both verbal and written;
- High level of presentation skills;
- Great IT skills: VBA, Excel, Power Point;
- Result-orientated mindset with focus on delivery and execution;
- Calm under pressure, ability to handle difficult clients and situations;
- Team player but also able to work independently;
- Flexible in terms of working hours when required.
