**Job Description**:
**Responsibilities**
- Manage and provide legal and regulatory advice associated with payments licensing, payments regulations, anti-money laundering, counter terrorist financing, outsourcing, data protection, privacy, consumer protection, and information security.
- Manage and advise on product development and regulatory matters for the company’s most important initiatives, including core wallet, crypto-currency, remittances, donations, and domestic and cross-border payments services.
- Manage and advise on all board governance and corporate secretarial matters for various legal entities across the company.
- Engage with financial services regulators in Southeast Asia, North Asia, and India, including but not limited to the Monetary Authority of Singapore, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority, the Reserve Bank of India, Bank Negara Malaysia, and Bank of Thailand.
- Draft and advise on correspondence, engagement, official submissions, and negotiations with regulators.
- Advise on all legal and regulatory issues associated with licensing, sales, market entry, mergers and acquisitions, joint-ventures, privacy, data security, and foreign exchange.
- Advise on regulatory issues with respect to Financial Intelligence Units or law enforcement agencies for suspicious transaction reporting.
- Work closely with the Singaporean, Indian, Southeast Asia, and North Asian Commercial, Compliance and Government Relations Teams.
- Advise on onsite inspections, investigations and queries by financial services regulators, law enforcement agencies and government agencies.

**Qualifications & Skills**
- Admitted as an advocate and solicitor in Singapore with at least 15+ years’ PQE gained in-house or in private practice.
- Demonstrated skill in regulatory advocacy with extensive experience in lobbying and regulatory engagement.
- Outstanding expertise in financial services regulations or in payments-related regulations related to money remittance, money transfers, foreign exchange, privacy, cyber security, and outsourcing.
- Strategic thinking capabilities and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex regulatory issues.
- Demonstrated understanding of digital technology and e-commerce.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks or projects simultaneously in a fast paced and dynamic financial services environment.
- Outstanding ability to work with cross-functional teams and with senior management.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork and the ability to foster and manage relationships across multiple departments.
- Extremely proactive with a strong bias for action
- Skilled in focusing on desired results, clarifying next steps, and ability to prioritize effectively to meet deadlines, address risk and achieve desired results.
