**REPORTS TO**:Elementary School Principal

**JOB GOALS**:
This person will support the elementary school principal in completing their daily tasks to help them remain organized and effective in their role as instructional leaders.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
**Administrative Management -**
- Organizing substitute teachers: scheduling and processing their timesheets.
- Help the principals to maintain clear communication with parents and students through the school’s various communication channels. Assist with record-keeping, both electronic and paper.
- Schedule ES classes in PowerSchool.
- Put together monthly ES calendars.
- Coordinate buses and various activities for ES field trips.
- Accomplish clerical tasks for the principal, including filing, ordering materials, completing necessary forms, etc.
- Complete special projects or other duties assigned by the elementary principal.
- Coordinate any activities for divisional or professional development meetings.

**Shared Coordinated Responsibilities -**
- Management of schoolwide calendars and resource bookings.
- Coordinate volunteers and maintain their volunteer hours.
- Assist in the communication of PTF activities.
- Direct and plan any schoolwide events, included but not limited to:

- Picture day
- ES music performance
- ES plays
- PTF coordination
- International Night (move to SS academic assistant)
- Carnival
- Orientation (1 sem, 2 sem)

**Other Responsibilities**:

- Be helpful and a problem-solver, dealing with the many random requests and questions.
- Ensure that the academic office presents an image of professionalism and competence to parents and the public. Develop and maintain rapport with students, parents, and staff by treating others with friendliness, dignity, and consideration.
- Demonstrate the character qualities of enthusiasm, courtesy, flexibility, integrity, kindness, patience, self-control, perseverance, orderliness, and punctuality. Meet everyday stress with emotional stability, objectivity, and optimism.

**QUALIFICATIONS**:

- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a problem solver.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
