**SUMMARY STATEMENT**

The person selected for this role will drive the growth of the NMG consulting proposition in Asia. You will leverage deep actuarial & industry specialisation and a wide network of client contacts to build and run a consulting franchise in the general (re)insurance industry across South/South-East Asia. You will also work in an integrated way with our South African Data & Analytics team, as well as pursuing opportunities in the Australian market.

The individual will be responsible for the delivery of a comprehensive consulting proposition across actuarial & analytics, while leveraging NMG’s collective expertise and resources across all divisions in order to fully exploit our “information advantage”, to ultimately improve the quality and clarity of services offered to clients.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Success in this role will see the following achieved:

- Work with the Global Partners and existing team to refine and execute the strategy for NMG’s consulting practice in Asia
- Lead client engagements across strategic and statutory actuarial analyses throughout the region and contribute to NMG-owned IP including the Insights and Strategy divisions
- Develop relationships with senior stakeholders including company C-suite, business partners and authorities in the relevant markets/segments across South/South-East Asia
- Manage a business development pipeline and ensure targeted levels of new business are achieved
- Establish industry thought leadership through the development and promotion of original research or insights
- Lead and develop a team of high performing consultants from entry level to Principal Consultant, setting a clear direction, providing coaching and development opportunities and managing performance accordingly
- Sit on the NMG Consulting Executive Committee, contributing to and delivering strategic projects across the organisation globally

**YOUR EXPERIENCE**
- A qualified actuary (or an equivalently technical insurance practitioner), with-at least 10 years-experience within the general (re)insurance actuarial sector, ideally from consulting background
- Demonstrable experience in the management of projects relating to statutory actuarial (reserving/pricing/capital modelling), competitive strategy, industry projections, product development, operating model reviews, market entry, M&A, implementation and resourcing solutions
- Proven analytical skills, the ability to draw insight from complex data sets, excellent attention to detail and high-quality standards
- An ability to develop relationships with clients and influence the thinking of key decision makers, making strategic contributions and leading presentations
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, particularly with a senior audience with clear business development credentials
- Ability to work effectively with a matrixed and global team of consultants
- Strong leadership and people management capabilities, empowering, mentoring and developing colleagues that you work with
