Have an inquisitive and strong analytical mind to sense-make voluminous data and information from multiple sources, to detect crimes and money laundering activities? - JOIN US as an Assistant Investigation Officer (Data Processing). The SPF plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure, with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. As an AIO (Data Processing) in the Suspicious Transaction Reporting Office (STRO) of the Commercial Affairs Department (CAD), you can look forward to a challenging career in financial intelligence analysis, data processing and related work. You play an important role in STRO’s mission to proactively prevent and deter criminals from abusing our financial system and detect these criminal activities efficiently. Specialized training will be provided to the new AIO (Data Processing) in the STRO. You will be placed under the Management Executive Scheme.

**What we are looking for**
- As an AIO (Data Processing) in the STRO, the below job functions will apply: - Data Processing Analysis - The officer will be part of the team that develops data analytical capabilities to detect criminal activities and contribute to STRO’s IT modernization by assisting in: o promptly and accurately digitalizing hard copy reports, allowing STRO analysts to conduct timely analysis and dissemination. o data preparation for periodic and ad-hoc Statistical/Analytical Projects. o monitor the status of automated data processing jobs and flag out issues to the Reporting Officer o participate in system development and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) o building partnerships with the private sector to improve data cleanliness of transactions collected - Assist in Financial Intelligence Analysis - The officer will assist STRO Analysts in conducting screenings on entities of interest, thus contributing to timely dissemination of financial intelligence to domestic authorities to commence investigation.
