Investigation and Discipline Officer role at Singapore Civil Defence Force What The Role Is The Investigation and Discipline Officer will spearhead SCDF Provost Unit's transformative phase, optimising internal processes and maintaining high standards in investigation case management. Responsibilities include clearing the backlog of cases, overseeing disciplinary matters, ensuring fair and impartial summary trials in accordance with the SCDF Disciplinary Instruction Manual, and establishing procedures for handling service offences involving both SCDF Regular and National Service personnel. The role requires fostering a culture of transparency, accountability, and compliance within SCDF. What You Will Be Working On Gather facts of investigation cases via interviews with accused and witnesses and review supporting documents. Make recommendations to Senior Management on appropriate disciplinary actions for regular officers. Coordinate with MHA HRD on formal disciplinary actions for SCDF regular officers for severe offences. Interview deserters after they are brought to SCDF Provost Unit following police arrest or surrender. Seek Public Prosecutor's consent to charge deserters in court for AWOL or desertion offences. Collaborate with units to report deserters for court charges. Review Online Summary Trial System (OSTS) charge reports submitted by all units during pre‐ and post‐trial. Update disciplinary records in HRPS discipline module. Generate comprehensive monthly reports and statistics on disciplinary cases. Assist in screening SCDF regulars for disciplinary cases and provide investigation details when required. What We Are Looking For Proficiency in Civil Defence Act, CD Regulations, DIM & IM2L. Good understanding of SCDF Department's Directive. Experience in HR department or related functions. High integrity and ethics. Strong listening and interpersonal skills. Effective problem analysis and decision‐making abilities. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Capacity to work effectively under pressure and respond to challenges.
