1. Role Description:
This position reports the General Manager.
Trainee will handle the stock inventory and make sure that it is kept at a healthy level so company’s operations will run smoothly.
2. Specific Responsibilities:
Individual to be involved in:
- Research and identify potential vendors
- Manage relationships with existing vendors
- Compare and evaluate offers from different suppliers
- Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing
- Solid analytical skills with the ability to conduct cost analyses
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery
- Review quality of purchased products and co-ordinate between suppliers and internal personnel on corrective actions on defective or unacceptable goods.
- Maintain updated records of purchase products, delivery information and invoices.
3. Competencies:
1. To learn about purchasing management skills, to understand key operation, logistics and purchasing requirements, to manage and deliver services on time.
2. To learn about time management and multi tasking skills
3. To learn about and understand the full fledge of marine services in the company
4. To learn about forecasting and budgeting required for each projects
5. To learn about people skills
4. Duration of Traineeships: 6 months
5. Approved Training Allowance: Fresh Graduates - $2500, Non-mature Mid-career Individuals - $2500, Mature Mid-Career Individuals - $3000
6. Education Qualifications Required for the Traineeship Role Under SGUnited Traineeship:
This position is open for both recent graduates and mid-career individuals (mature and non-mature). Graduates interested in this position should possess a Degree and above Qualification. Mid-career individuals from any qualification level can apply.
