About the team
Risk control team is responsible for performing risk identification and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls across ByteDance global functions. The team's mission is to be a trusted advisor and add tangible value to the company through insightful and comprehensive risk management practices and proactive internal controls advisory support.

We are looking for a qualified, motivated and entrepreneurial Data Analyst and Risk Business Partner. This position is based in our Singapore office. The new hire will be responsible for risk identification and assessing the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls, as well as developing and driving data analytics-enabled risk work (such as controls monitoring and risk detection). The new hire will collaborate with business teams to identify risks, conduct root cause analysis, identify control gaps, quantify impact leveraging on available data, and ultimately make valuable recommendations to management.

**Responsibilities**:

- Design, develop, implement, and train the Risk Control team in data analytics solutions for effective risk management programme execution, encompassing risk reviews and control assessments;
- Independently create real-time data analytics tools to monitor controls, promptly identifying and addressing risks for stakeholders and driving process improvements;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including all three lines of defence, for in-depth data-driven risk advisory support, process enhancement initiatives, and root cause analysis for fraud prevention;
- Lead global projects to review policies, define processes, identify risks, controls, and opportunities for enhancement. Provide control guidance during business process changes and contribute to company-wide initiatives;
- Drive a risk-aware culture in the spirit of continuous improvement through proactively engaging with senior stakeholders and key cross-functional partners. Stay abreast of emerging technology, industry trends, and cutting-edge risks.
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Data Analytics, Auditing, or a related major or a related discipline is required;
- Advantageous to have 3+ years working in data analytics and risk management, either in professional services or the broader tech industry are preferred;
- Skilled in data manipulation with SQL, Python, R or other programming languages/tools;
- Experience in building dashboards and conducting quantitative analysis, visualisation, and reporting;
- Experience being a trusted and valuable risk business partner to a variety of cross-functional stakeholders, demonstrating strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to drive action in the midst of ambiguous situations.
