**Job Purpose**:
The Accounting and Payroll Officer is responsible for delivering precise and timely financial information and reports to support informed decision-making. This role entails managing accounting and payroll services for CSLB clients, contributing to the efficient operations of the CSLB Asia team and its clientele.
**Organization Chart**:
This position reports to the Managing Director, Carol Liao **.
**Key Result Areas / Accountabilities**:
**_Financial and Payroll Role: _**
1. In charge of maintaining full sets of books for a portfolio of clients including preparing payments, bank reconciliations, fixed assets, raising journals and preparing financial reports in the Xero accounting system
2. Provide monthly or quarterly management accounts for CSLB clients.
3. Perform general bookkeeping using cloud-based accountancy platforms including Xero and Quickbooks.
4.. Work with clients to provide monthly payroll instructions and manage and execute the end-to-end payroll process, including data input and validation. Manages full cycle of monthly payroll which includes mid-month payroll, end month payroll and CPF submission.
5. Manages payroll-related enquires and resolves any discrepancies.
6. Submission of tax clearance, yearly income tax, government paid leave, NS claims and other government claims.
7. Complete tax filing, including GST returns, for CSLB clients.
8. Prepare financial statements following ACRA guidelines for annual return filing for new and existing clients.
9. Address financial inquiries by gathering and analysing financial data as and when requested by CSLB clients.
10. Provide financial guidance by studying operational practices and developing recommendations.
11. Stay updated on job knowledge by staying current with financial regulations and best practices, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining professional networks **.**
**Essential Know-How**:
1. Possess a diploma in Accountancy, Human Resource or related filed.
2. Minimum of 1 years of experience in finance and accountancy.
3. Proficiency in online cloud-based accountancy and payroll systems.
4. Exhibit high integrity and honesty in all professional matters and competent English speaking and writing skills.
5. Be an independent, diligent, and meticulous worker capable of collaborating with the CSLB team **.
