Understands andassists the WSHO cum ECO to effectively implement the organization’s SHMS at site;
- Assists the WSHO cum ECO to plan, organize and manage EHS promotional activities within the site to cultivate good EHS practices;
- Provides reasonably practicable and effective EHS recommendations to team members to ensure compliance to legal and other requirements;
- Co-ordinates the work of Safety Supervisors and Safety Workers and provide effective supervision;
- Participates in risk assessment activities for site;
- Participates as a risk management team member in the site RM organization;
- Assists the WSHO cum ECO, as the assistant secretary when conducting the monthly EHS Committee meeting with SWC and Subcontractors;
- Assists the WSHO cum ECO to review existing safety measures and recommend safety measures for upcoming works during the safety committee meeting;
- Recommends Stop Work Order to Project Manager when unsafe conditions arise including to promptly correcting any unsafe conditions or safe work practice;
- Attends client/consultant safety meeting/ weekly coordination & technical meeting;
- Assists the WSHO cum ECO in investigation and make record in every first aid case, accident and near miss at the work site;
- Assists the WSHO cum ECO to conduct emergency drills;
- Assists the WSHO cum ECO to inspect site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance of environmental health are in proper working condition and do not pose any environmental health hazard;
- Assists the WSHO cum ECO to identify environmental health irregularities such as mosquito and fly breeding, rodent infestation, noise/dust/smoke/water pollution, poor housekeeping, earth littering, poor refuse management, poor maintenance of sanitary facilities, etc. and recommend measures to rectify such irregularities

Any other duties as may be assigned.

**Job Requirements**:

- Experience in LTA projects
- Experience in civil/A&A construction projects as WSHC
- Experience assisting in handling accidents, investigations and safety promotions
- Experience in liaising with authorities
- Experience in risk management process
- Experience in ConSASS audit, SHMS review
- WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health
- Safety Coordinator Course, supplemented with Risk Management Course Certificate and Managing Work at Heights Course
- Occupational First Aider Certificate
- ES Workplace Literacy and Numeracy Level 5, OR
