The Infant Educarer is responsible for providing a safe and developmentally appropriate program for infants and toddlers between the age of 2 to 18 months in accordance with the guidelines, policies and procedures of the Centre. She must also ensure the development and safety of the infants under her care.
**Duties**
- Provide a clean, safe and care-giving environment for infants and toddlers.
- Take care of the daily routines of the infants and toddlers; such as feeding, bathing and changing of diaper, soiled/wet clothes.
- Conduct developmental screenings and on-going assessments of infants and toddlers to determine their motor, language, social, cognitive perceptual and emotional skills.
- Plan and organize activities to provide infants and toddlers with a variety of experiences and opportunities that allow them to develop curiosity, initiative, problem-solving skills, and creativity, as well as a sense of self and a feeling of belonging to the group.
- Keep parents informed of the development of their infant/toddler.
- Maintain proper records by completing the daily routines worksheet for assigned infants and toddlers.
- Prepare and submit infant developmental checklist to principal.
- Maintain and update infant’s communication book.
