Senior Accountant, Platforms and Ecosystems

Minimum qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience. - 9 years of relevant work experience in a financial reporting/operational accounting role. Preferred qualifications: - MBA or CPA/CA or other professional accreditation. - Experience implementing projects, managing programs, and designing and implementing processes/controls, with proficiency in spreadsheets. - Ability to work independently and succeed in a demanding, change-oriented, and fast-paced environment, and drive and deliver complex strategy and operational initiatives. - Ability to adept at data queries (i.e. SQL), reporting, presentation, and visualization, with excellent analytical skills. - Collaborative working style, with the ability to empathize with and influence others without direct line authority, and resolve conflicts. - Excellent business judgment, with the ability to influence business stakeholders, communicate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and management. **About the job**: Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. As a member of this team, you will know your accounting principles and the accounting processes. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business. **Responsibilities**: - Manage the detailed review and approval of Google Play, Android, etc., and commercial agreements, providing advisory to Business Development and Product teams to influence optimal agreement structures to minimize financial risks. - Partner with cross-finance teams to provide support on tax and other regulatory compliance requirements for Google Play, Android, etc. and keep the business compliant. - Participate in cross-finance readiness for Platforms and Ecosystems product initiatives in APAC, providing jurisdictional expertise and partner with key stakeholders for successful implementation/launch. - Drive cross-functional business and governance projects; define, implement, and maintain processes and procedures. - Perform data analysis and draw meaningful insights to help inform decision-making.
