[What the role is]

SENIOR / EXECUTIVE SOFTWARE ENGINEER (E-PAYMENT INNOVATION CENTRE)

[What you will be working on]

You will be working with a team on development of public transport Automated Fare Collection (AFC) System. As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for design, development, documentation and testing of AFC system software involving contactless payments and its’ backend systems. You will have exciting opportunities to keep the world moving by contributing to the advancement of the public transport system and make a significant impact on the efficiency and convenience of the fare collection system.
- AFC system software development, and maintenance and support of software.

[What we are looking for]
- Tertiary qualification in Computer Engineering/Electronics Engineering/Computer Science or related discipline.
- Proficiency in C++, Java, or web programming with at least 3 years of programming experience.
- Proficiency with database programming such as SQL and DAO, and relevant experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL or DB2.
- Experience or exposure in one or more of the following areas is required.
- Networking concepts, object-oriented programming with experience in concurrency management
- Design and documentation such as UML modeling.
- Payment technologies such as contactless/NFC technology, EMV payments.
- Self-initiated, proactive, good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Resourceful and self-motivated team player with a positive work attitude.
