**Team Summary**

Data has always been at the heart of Visa’s payments network. With the emergence of open banking and open finance, there are increasing opportunities to move money and data across the payments and broader financial ecosystem, addressing the needs of consumers, businesses and financial institutions as our commerce and payment journeys evolve.

Visa Data Solutions is at the center of this dynamic opportunity, and our aim is to enable Visa clients and partners to leverage open data and payment platforms to drive better customer engagement, and outcomes that grow their business. The Asia Pacific Data Solutions team is responsible for leading the strategy, prioritization, development, and delivery of Visa’s data solutions roadmap in this exciting area.

**Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA)** team is a key part of the **Global Data Solutions** organization, a high-performing team of data scientists, data analysts and data engineers helping major organizations adapt and evolve to meet the changes taking place in technology, finance, and commerce, with cutting-edge, creative and advanced analytic solutions. Our focus lies on building creative solutions that have an immediate impact on the business of our highly analytical partners. We work in complementary teams comprising members from Data Science and various groups at Visa.

To support our rapidly growing group we are looking for data scientists who are equally passionate about the opportunity to use Visa’s rich data to tackle meaningful business problems.

**What a Sr. Data Scientist (Sr Manager) does at Visa**:
S/he will have be highly analytical and have the relevant skills to not only independently analyze and interpret data insights but also support product development efforts to build scalable data products
- Partner with roles across the organization including consultants, engineering, and data scientists to address prioritized business problems
- Lead the development of data driven products aligned with stakeholder priorities and working closely with partners / vendors for the execution as necessary
- Define detailed scope and methodology, design and create solutions, and execute on the POC / pilot framework leveraging appropriate tools and techniques
- Supporting the development of a robust system for measuring and optimizing the quality of deployed algorithms and models and to manage new models / products that are built
- Monitoring AI models in production to evaluate performance, model drift, and decay.
- Actively seek out opportunities to innovate by using VisaNet, non-traditional data and new modelling techniques fit for purpose to the needs of our clients
- Act as data science advocate within our partners, advising and coaching analytical teams and sharing best practices and case studies.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

- Post Graduate (masters or Ph.D) in STEM field with approximately 10+ years being a data scientist or analytics consultant
- Hands-on experience in developing machine learning models, scaling data solutions and delivering end-to-end data science projects
- Familiar with typical machine learning models such as Linear & Logistic Regression, Decision Trees, Random Forests, Markov Chains, Support Vector Machines,
