**Head of Operations - Financial Brokerage (Magpie Securities Singapore)**

**An online financial brokerage with a strong presence in Hong Kong is currently looking for a Back-Office Operations professional to lead our Singapore Operations function. This will be an exceptional opportunity for you to establish yourself at this new Singapore office as we look to build up our presence in the South East Asian region, and you will be responsible for growing this department in Singapore. Our expectations include daily operational and settlement matters, provide solutions to gaps and oversight of operational matters locally. Internally, you will also be expected to eventually work closely with your counterparts in HK and Australia.
**You could also be someone who is looking to take the leap to a senior role or an experienced professional interested in returning to the work force.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide operations support and advisory for the Securities and/or Derivatives business
- Review and manage operational framework, ensuring all gaps are resolved
- Be up to date with regulatory developments, ensuring all relevant rules and regulations, including industry best practices, are followed for smooth BAU operations
- Own the design and implementation of operational policies, processes and systems
- Formulate reporting and business intelligence for customer insights and risk management
- Participate in APAC projects and develop the compliance monitoring program to ensure settlement related risks are effectively monitored
- Co-ordinate with relevant departments to provide information during internal and external audits
- Continuously improve current processes and procedures

**Desired Requirements**:

- You should bring 6-10+ years of cumulative experience in Back-Office Operations and/or Settlement, preferably from a CMS licensee in Singapore
- Good working knowledge of applicable legislations in Singapore and subsidiary regulation
- Good knowledge of financial market products
- Good interpersonal skills is desirable
- Attention to details, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
