Water issues are becoming increasingly prominent as we struggle with the disparity between water availability and demands, water pollution, and competition for limited water resources. At Jacobs, we recognize these challenges, and our engineers, scientists, and planners are working together with clients to find the right solutions to their water challenges. Our Water business would like to hire another Resident Engineer to be part of a strategic Water Pipeline project located at Jurong Island as a Resident Engineer. - Carry out duties and responsibilities in accordance to the Building Control Act as full-time Qualified Site Supervisor (RE) on record for the supervision of the works on site - Work with the Superintending Officer and representatives and be responsible for enforcing specification and code - Proactively provide periodic site progress updates to the client - Experience in pipe laying and pipe jacking works (large diameter). Experience in working inside Jurong Island will be an added advantage. - Review Contractor submissions and assess progress claims with QS. - Manage and work closely with RTOs, WSHOs, PRO, QS and Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI) assigned to the project - Keep and maintain proper site records and documentation **Here’s What You’ll Need**: - Degree in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in site supervision in pipe jacking and pipe laying works. - RE certificate from the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES) Other information: - Working location at Jurong Island (transport provided) - Forty-four working hours (5.5 days) - Long-term contract renewable **Jacobs.
