Looking for a Naval Architect with only 5 to 6 years of experience, you will find yourself to be one of the very few among your peers that is already working for a vessel owner, while others continue to pursue their career with a shipyard, engineering consultancy, classification society or OEM.
**WHO SHOULD APPLY?**
(1) Plan Approval Engineers (Structural) with Classification Societies
(2) Naval Architect/Structural Engineers with Shipyards & Engineering Consultancy
- Design and construct sea-going vessels.
- Ensure designs and standard operating procedures comply with technical specification, statutory, classification society rules requirements.
- Ensure efficient functioning and safety of machines, machinery, tools, motors and engines.
- Perform main Naval Architecture calculations/analysis such as general stability (Intact and Damaged), hydrodynamic, global performance (integrated load), global structure (pre-service, in-service and strength/buckling/fatigue/all major connection), motion and airgap, coupled load, mooring & anchor system, collision etc.
- Interact with customers, vendors, consultants, and classification bodies to resolve design and engineering matters.
**Job Requirements**:
- Diploma/Degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Offshore & Technology.
- Minimum of 5 years work experience in the whole process of concept design and calculations to obtain Approval In Principal and Full Basic Design Approval from Classification bodies.
- Able to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Able to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
