Lead Accounting Technician

**Duties**:
As a Lead Accounting Technician, you will perform the following duties:

- Distributing and balancing the workload among incumbents in accordance with established work-flow or job specialization.
- Assuring timely accomplishment of the assigned workload.
- Instructing Accounting Technicians on specific tasks and job techniques and makes available written instructions, reference materials and supplies.
- Providing on the job training to new incumbents in accordance with established procedures and practices.
- Answering questions of other incumbents on procedures, policies, directives.

- You qualify for the GS-08 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-07 grade level or equivalent performing duties such as:

- Examining, analyzing, and interpreting accounting data for governmental and commercial transactions;
- Providing customer service in support of the functions of the organizational mission;
- Analyzing obligations and contractual information ensuring transactions are accurate and appropriate.
