- Established in 2015, the Singapore Judicial College has the mandate of supporting the Singapore Judiciary with holistic judicial education and training, as well as with cutting-edge research that promotes innovative court practices and policies. Playing a pivotal role in fostering a strong learning culture, the College works in tandem with the Judiciary to nurture best-in-class judges who possess mastery of relevant competencies and deep specialist skills. The College is also embarking on a mission to reimagine education and training for the new Singapore Judicial Service. **What you will be working on**
- The Centre for Leadership and Judgecraft (CLJ) works with the Pedagogy, Planning, Systems and Processes (PPS) Division to design and deliver milestone leadership, judgecraft and benchskills programmes for judges in SG Courts in accordance with the Judiciary Competency Framework (JCF). The Senior Assistant Director reports to the Deputy Director, CLJ and is expected to: - Assist the Deputy Director to gather, identify and analyse training needs - Give briefing instructions for the PPS Division to propose curriculum and pedagogy plans to meet training needs - Review PPS Division’s proposals against the JCF as well as the judges’ individualised training roadmaps and make appropriate recommendations to the Deputy Director - Work with the PPS Division to deliver leadership and judgecraft programmes - Review SJC’s leadership and judgecraft programmes regularly in conjunction with undertaking environmental scanning of leading programmes and their pedagogy - Establish collaborations with partner institutes to augment relevant aspects of SJC’s leadership and judgecraft curricula
