Middleware Engineer

DESIGNATION : Middleware Engineer - MAMK RESPONSIBILITIES - Design, develop, and deploy middleware solutions, including messaging systems, APIs, and integration platforms. - Manage and maintain middleware infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting. - Monitor and optimise middleware performance to ensure high availability, scalability, and mínimal downtime. - Maintain accurate documentation and knowledge management systems for middleware infrastructure. - Perform regular maintenance and upgrades to ensure the integrity and performance of the middleware environment. - Assist in evaluating new hardware/software for performance improvements. - Perform any duties delegated by the Authority when required, related to middleware and associated technologies. QUALIFICATIONS - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - At least 3 years of experience with Middleware engineer experience - Experience in Weblogic 12c or later version or any technical skills in middleware technologies, including: - Messaging systems (e.g., Apache Kafka). - APIs (e.g., REST, SOAP). - Integration platforms (e.g., Red Hat JBoss). - Containerisation (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes). - Cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure). - Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD). - Ability to troubleshoot and resolve middleware-related issues. - Strong understanding of middleware infrastructure management and performance tuning. - Excellent documentation and communication skills.
