Caterpillar's Product Support Logistics Division (PSLD) currently has an opportunity for an experienced **Transportation Specialist **to join the Caterpillar team.

**About the Position**:
This role is responsible for developing, executing and monitoring regional Transportation projects, process improvements, strategic initiatives and road maps development, long terms Transportation solutions development ( mode shift, multimodal Transportation, Ground / Rail support strategic initiatives ), strategy and technology project deployments, carrier and provider performance management, regional metric performance management, customer experience improvements, Continuous improvement projects for Inbound Components to the facilities and outbound Parts from DC to Dealers, leads 3 to 4 regional strategic projects per year in Transportation Management in Asia Pacific, Category Supply on suppliers, transportation service providers (carriers), in conjunction with Caterpillar facilities and Caterpillar dealers, developing transportation practices, gathering and documenting customer requirements and executing projects. This role is also responsible for representing Asia Pacific Transportation operations in Global Data warehouse / Analytics projects as Data Stewart, represent Asia Pacific region in Global Sustainability Council, coordinates with country Transportation Managers to run monthly Governance council/Monthly and Quarterly Business Review for Inbound/Outbound Transportation, monitors and runs carrier performance, efficiency improvement, cost reduction agenda for the region.

**Primary responsibilities for this position will be to (but not limited to)**:

- Manage communication and collaboration with Country Transportation Managers, suppliers, transportation service providers (carriers), Caterpillar facilities, and Caterpillar dealers on identified process defects.
- Identify, implement and monitor process improvements that will enable operations to improve the transportation/logistics network, reduce risk, and enhance the ability to become a more high velocity organization.
- Collaborate with transportation supplier base to manage performance and improve current service offerings.
- Develop and implement new strategic initiatives.
- Provide direction and monitor performance of transportation service providers.
- Stay abreast of new transportation service providers entering the industry that may offer service advantages and value added services.
- Identify, implement, and monitor process improvements that will enable Caterpillar to improve the transportation/logistics system and enhance the ability to become a more high velocity organization.
- Provide leadership and direction to internal and external teams related to systems, operational, and process improvement. Lead strategic Transportation projects, Sustainability, or Innovation project development for the Transportation group. Participate on teams and ad hoc committees dealing with supply chain issues requiring transportation input.
- The position is challenged to carefully evaluate problems and review a large number of possible solutions before selecting one option. Problems may be complex and can require the incumbent to develop solutions.
- Sets priorities and establishes road map for technology solutions deployment.

**Required Skills and Experience**:

- Degree in Business/Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics Management.
- 6 to 10 years relevant working experience.
- Knowledge of supply chain management, specifically Transportation operations (domestic and/or international), service parts distribution, standardization, network flows, Transportation Management systems, visibility
