**Senior Engineer (Facility Management)**

**Operations Division / Environment & Facility Support (Facility Management) Section**

**Reports to: Manager**

**Your role**:
**1. Maintenance of Firefighting System and ensure compliance with SCDF and applicable statutory / international fire code of practice**:
**a) Maintenance of firefighting water suppression system for MHI / ALSTOM / SIEMENS / Extra High Voltage (EHV) Switchhouse / Stage 3 Plants to ensure readiness at all times**

**b) To carry out prescribed preventive maintenance activities and breakdown maintenance on the system including main fire pumps, jockey pumps and foam pumps.**

**c) To carry out regular / annual firefighting system tests including on hydrant flow and dry riser for SCDF Fire Cert renewal / as per Code of practice.**

**d) Response / fast restoration / rectification of fault**
- Troubleshoot mechanical defects and abnormalities, identify causes and fast restoration / rectification
- Monitor and carry out remedial actions or improvements jointly formulated with Engineering Section
- Collaborate with WSH on monthly water spray test
- Engage contractor to carry out dry riser test and assist in performing test for witness by PE from SCDF
- Guide junior engineers in carrying out annual fire pump performance test to ensure fire pumps are operating at desired level to meet functional and insurer’s requirement
- Carry out regular / annual test as per code of practice including pressure test
- Documentation and control as per Quality Management Documentation and control

**2. Maintain company’s facilities, including plant-wide air-con services, passenger lift maintenance / operations, ship berthing jetty in compliance with Regulatory & Statutory, WSH safety requirement with effective / preventive maintenance program**:

- To engage PE Structural Engineer to conduct periodic structural inspections of buildings
- To engage registered elevator contractor/SPE to inspect elevators yearly under BCA Building Maintenance and Strata Management (Lift, Escalator and Building Maintenance) (Amendment) Regulations 2018
- To perform renewal of annual Permit-To-Operate license in BCA eServices portal, LEAP
- To engage contractor to provide certifications to lifting appliances & equipment under MOM Workplace Safety and Health Regulations, Part III General Provisions to Safety (Lifting Appliances and Lifting Machines)
- To perform Lifting Appliances updating in MOM eServices portal

**3. Maintain and upgrade buildings and facilities to preserve building integrity to enhance safe environment for staff welfare**:

- Monitor and carry out timely repairs of all defects found in building inspection report, specifying work in accordance to recommendation by PE when engaging contractors
- Guide and conduct inspection for spalling concrete of buildings annually
- Engage contractor to service aircon systems covering entire station
- Maintenance of 3 km of security perimeter fencing around power plant
- Review painting program to enhance aesthetic and protection of building
- Review building roof waterproofing to prevent leaking and seepages
- Review shore rip-rap system protection is in satisfactory condition and engage contractor to maintain or repair as required

**4. Maintain and upgrade main town water, waste and sewer lines in accordance to Sewerage and Drainage Act (SDA), PUB**:

- Manage team to maintain main town water lines to ensure continuous supply of water required for plant and building operations
- Manage team to maintain waste and sewer lines required under regulation
- Engage contractor to carry out CCTV inspection of sewer system periodically

**5. Manage Trash Clearing of garbage covering all process plant; Manage Horticulture services, Cleaning services, Pest Control Services, Sanitization Services, Gym equipment Servicing and Grease Trap cleaning**:

- Guide and manage trash pit daily clearing of MHI, ALSTOM and SIEMENS CW Pump House band screen systems
- Engage contractors to provide all services
- Ensure compliance to Local Regulation

**6. Planning, Reviewing and Managing weekly task of preventive maintenance and non-routine maintenance**:

- Generate works report from CMMS daily to prepare daily toolbox meeting with staff
- Collaborate with Scheduler for publishing weekly planned tasks

**7. Control of Permit To Work (Non Process) and ensure Lock out and Tag out are implemented to ensure a safe work environment for maintenance personnel and equipment**:

- Carry out risk assessment, ensure compliance of safety requirement before issuing of PTW-NP Class C without compromising on safety and operation of generating units
- To ensure the electrical & mechanical isolations / normalization are carried out safely
- Follow up closely and review on PTWs that have been issued and enforce compliance to PTW requirement

**8. Manage Ad-hoc office renovation project in compliance to BCA, FSSD, URA and PUB requirement
