Singapore Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Full time

This role will assist the Group Head and Deputy Head to lead and control the daily operation of Treasury Administration Group and provide governance and control activities offshore.

**Responsibilities**
- Manage and support the overall operations and effective control of the group related transactions.
- Investigate and report the discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions and resolve issues including customers’ complaints.
- Introduce effective risk management control features and policies to minimize potential errors and clerical mistakes in accordance to the Bank’s policies and procedures.
- Assist Group Head and Deputy Group head in manpower planning and staff development for the Group including staff appraisals.
- Ensure Group operates in accordance to local laws and regulations, Head Office policies and branch procedures
- Govern and control activities that has been offshored.
- Ensure prompt submission of statistical reports to local management, Head Office and MAS.
- Review recommendations and/or comments made by MAS/External/Internal/Head Office auditors and conduct appropriate checks on the implementations.
- Ensure staffs are well versed with BCP procedures and processes to participate in regular BCP drills.
- Investigate and report discrepancies and irregularities arising from transactions, system failure, etc and resolve issues including handling stakeholder’s complaints and escalating all issues promptly.

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Banking and Finance or equivalent.
- At least 5-7 years of banking experience in Treasury/Treasury Operations.
- Experience in participation of UAT for new product launched, to determine and fix the to-be workflow.
- Experienced in leading a team of 3-4 members.
- End to end thinking, critical thinking, strong customer service aptitude.
- Possesses a Risk & Control mindset and ability to problem solve.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, good teamwork, including the ability to work with diverse group of people.
