**Responsibilities**:
- Provide support to ensure the facility function effectively, including operating and maintaining steam boilers and air compressor while adhering to correct procedures and safety guidelines.
- Operate boilers in depot including chemical dosage and pre-test
- Ensure boiler maintenance program is followed
- Liaise with contractors on repairs of boiler and equipment (tank, steam hoses, steam pressure control valves)
- Carry out steam heating in accordance to proper temperature reading
- Observe no dark smoke emitted from chimney and chemical leakage

- Monitor and record all operation related instrumentation and control measures, include SCADA data, localtion utilities and supply valves and gauges
- Make adjustment of process parameter in meeting the operation schedule and demand

- Daily reporting of activities and energy consumption
- Assist with ad hoc facilities work like repairs, etc

- Operates all equipment and facilities in his assigned area safely and efficiently and keeps the same in good state of maintenance.
- Assist in the preparation of Risk Assessment, Safe work procedures and other relevant documents.
- Manage and track client booking, equipment usage and equipment/ facility calibration and maintenance activities.
- Track records of all documentation including Risk Assessment, Safe work procedures, inventory records of consumables such as hazardous and bio-hazardous chemicals, electronic components and mechanical spare parts.
- Communicates clearly with his colleagues and at the end of his shift, hand-over to his senior operations technician highlighting production status and any items bearing on safety, quality and efficiency.

**Job Requirements**
- Min Nitec / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent
- 2nd Class Steam boiler attendant certificate from Ministry of Manpower
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience facility and utility systems
- Proficient in MS Office
- Prior work experience in pharmaceutical or laboratory facilities will be an added advantage
- Able to work on rotating shifts.
- Able to work in dirty room environment
