Redstone Commodity Search are working with an oil and gas trading house looking to hire an operations executive to join their team in Singapore.
Key Responsibilities / Tasks
- Ensuring successful operation of the trade lifecycle from point of origination to customer
- Negotiation of finance documents, including Letters of Credit confirming everything is all in order at all stages of shipment
- Guarantee cargos are shipped in a timely manner through promptly liaising with suppliers and customers, issuing invoices and confirming receipts of payment with the finance team
- Understanding of exposure management where P&L is affected by operations
- Role reports to Head of Operations
Key Qualifications / Experience
- 4+ years working in operations, logistics, international trading, trade finance or a similar role
- Understanding of global shipping and being versed in the associated terminology and documentation (B/L, Packing Lists, COO, COI, etc)
- Experience with logistics and handling of Letters of Credit (L/C) particularly focussing in Asia (L/C advice, review, credit facility utilizations, documentary presentations, discrepancy handling, payment follow up, etc)
- Fluency in Mandarin required, with other languages a bonus
- Role is located in Singapore
