The Director of Group IT Program Management Office (GIT PMO) partners with all IT BP, Platform owners and Central Function heads within Group IT to enable their transformation and change initiatives with people, processes and technology landscape.
This Leadership role will interact directly with the SLT of Group IT across Singtel and Optus to support successful outcomes of the yearly AOP, including both “Perform” and “Transform” initiatives, as well as other change initiatives.
**Responsibilities**
- Lead the overall GIT strategy execution and act as the representative to SLT for execution advice, high level engagement, governance oversight, escalation and performance reconciliation covering major change initiatives (involving people, process and technology)
- Manage key portfolio relationships with Initiative Sponsors
- Own the overall strategy execution roadmap. Providing clear visibility and accurate information about the project status, cost, progress, dependencies, risks and milestones.
- Lead the PMO team who manage the portfolio delivery interface:
- Develop, optimise and lead the implementation of the overall end-to-end portfolio execution strategy
- Provide fit-for-purpose governance framework support to portfolio execution inclusive of adherence mechanisms to requisite compliance obligations and benefits realisations
- Drive prioritisation discussions within GIT SLT to ensure initiatives are optimised within the portfolio against an agreed framework as well as aligned to the broader strategic business dependencies, priorities and changing market conditions
- Ensure portfolio pipeline and workforce planning activities are optimised such that project resource demand from internal providers are appropriately clarified and forecast
- Direct Delivery Execution through Portfolio and Resource Leaders:
- Oversight of agreed initiative charter KPIs (time, budget, scope, quality, benefits, etc.) in a compliant manner which can be reported on with clarity to the GIT SLT in a timely fashion
- Ensure customer/user experience parameters are driven to conclusion across portfolio, that the value propositions are delivered right the first time, that people change outcomes are well embedded and all initiatives are effectively operationalised into BAU
- Act as the initiative and major programs endorser for all key information sharing artefacts (e.g. governance forums, funding requests, steering updates, broadcast communications) and change requests
- Capital and benefit management
- Financial investment management and forecasting of all initiative costs (opex and capex) in portfolio to agreed budget
- Monitor, risk manage benefit redemption profile for portfolio and support mitigation planning to ensure alignment with concurrent activities
- Creator and custodian of the strategic delivery framework, ensuring continuous maturity in project governance, portfolio management and execution.
**Requirements**:
- 10+ years’ experience across Business Management/Delivery Management/Project Management/Change Management in a large organisational setting
- 10+ years’ experience in managing teams related to technical, people or process change
- Proficient in relevant key delivery discipline
- Advanced problem solving and conflict management skills
- Experience in developing practice standards and mentoring staff in use
- Understanding of capex/opex financial management
- Understanding of both technical project framing and execution, plus go-to-market and people change management necessities
- Ability to work autonomously and proactively make decisions
- Demonstrated ability to forge collaborative relationships, negotiate and influence outcomes, Results orientation, Effective teamwork skills
