The Motional Singapore office is located in the Symbiosis Tower at 3 Fusionopolis Way in Singapore's research & development hub, steps away from numerous retail, food and beverage outlets as well as the convenience of a one-north Mass Rapid Transit Station located within the building. - As an - **Autonomous Vehicle Test Operator**, you will be the most important member of our team whenever you are behind the wheel of a vehicle. Safety Drivers sit in the driver's seat as our vehicles operate and ensure the safety of vehicle occupants, pedestrians, cyclists, and other motorists. In addition to operating our vehicles in both autonomous and manual modes, our Safety Drivers are key members of our test crews. This includes vehicle preparation, test execution, and documentation of results. If you have excellent driving awareness (professional driving schools and certifications encouraged) and love getting hands-on with vehicles, come help us build the world's first self-driving taxi fleet.**Responsibilities**: - Operate self-driving vehicle in both autonomous and manual modes - Ensure the safety of occupants, pedestrians, cyclists, and other motorists - Chauffeur guests in a responsible, safe, and friendly service orientated manner - Collaborate with engineers to follow test procedures - Provide feedback to the research and development team to improve software performance - Prepare the vehicle for daily driving (general maintenance, charging, and upkeep)Assist in mounting of sensors, computers, and wiring - Potential career progression on operations team for excellent performers **Minimum Qualifications**: - Singaporeans only - Valid Singapore driving license (Class 3 and above) and **clean driving record (Minimum 3 years with no demerit points)**: - At least 5 years of overall driving experience - Strong and detailed understanding of Singapore road rules, regulations, and etiquette - Confident driver able to negotiate difficult road situations calmly - Safety conscious on the road and in the garage; must-have "safety first" attitude - Excellent written and verbal communication in English - Good personal grooming and comfortable talking with a wide range of passengers - Excellent team member - punctual, reliable, and honest - **Have flexibility around hours (night and weekend driving occasionally expected)** **Preferred Qualifications**: - Background in testing, maintenance of automotive fields - Experience using shop and power tools - Previous employment as a professional driver (e.g., driving instructor, limousine driver, personal driver, or delivery driver - Passion for working on cars and technology - Advanced driving course (e.g., defensive driving) taken in the last 3 years **Motional is a driverless technology company making self-driving vehicles a safe, reliable, and accessible reality.** The Motional team is made up of engineers, researchers, innovators, dreamers and doers, who together are creating a first-of-its-kind technology with the potential to transform the way we move.
