Ensures that all Scaffolders adhere to all the safety rules of the Company and the client’s at all times.
- Ensures that scaffold worksites are safe for all scaffolders to work and operate in.
- Decides on stop work order when safety rules are breached at work sites or by employees.
- Liaises with end-users on where and how scaffold needs to be erected without compromising on worksite safety rules, regulations and protocols.
- Carries out erection of scaffolds systematically and secures control & storage of scaffolding materials.
- Plans and arranges materials to site for erection based on his assessment.
- Strategically deploys scaffolders according to their strengths and compatibility.
- Liaises with user to check whether the scaffold is acceptable or whether it needs to be modified.
- Liaises with the Company’s and the client’s Workplace Safety, Health and Environment (WSHE) Team on observations done or received.
- Ensures that all required documentation such as Permit-to-Work (PTW), JSA are filled and approved by designated Company and Client personnel prior to erection.
- Ensures that the work team members are fit to work before work commencement.
- Ensures that operational instructions passed down to workers based on industry best practices are adhered to without exception.
- Trains and coaches the Company’s scaffold work team on work improvement methods.
- Liaises with planner or Operations Manager / Business Development Manager / Manager Site Operations on manpower deployment when requested or required.
- Identifies and deploys man-hours according to required site work.
- Coordinates scaffolding materials to be sent for servicing.
- Actively updates management with work status on site.
- Cross deploys the Company’s Scaffolding Department’s manpower resources to the Company’s other divisions and tasks as required.
