Cloud Consultant, Big Data and Analytics, Google

Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in agile program management with a focus on consulting projects.
- Experience architecting, developing, and/or maintaining data-focused solutions in distributed environments.
- Experience in systems design, with experience in architecting systems interactions.

Preferred qualifications:

- 7 years of technical consulting experience demonstrating technical client service and customer-facing cloud migration experience including discovery, execution, and operations.
- Experience working with data warehouses, data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, estimated time to launch (ETL), reporting/analytic tools, and data structures.
- Experience in big data, information retrieval, data mining, or machine learning.
- Experience architecting and developing software or internet scale production-grade Big Data solutions in virtualized environments.

As a Cloud Consultant, you'll work directly with customers on critical analytics projects that enable and transform their business. You will provide consulting, leadership, and technical knowledge on customer engagements to drive decisions and execution.

In this role, you will work with customer program owners, architects, and key technical leaders to provide solutions on Google Cloud Platform. You will collaborate with key Google partners to deliver consulting services and provide technical guidance and best infrastructure practices.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead Professional Services projects with customer technical leads, architects, customer managers, and partners. Plan and deliver successful implementations of cloud-based Big Data and analytics projects becoming a trusted advisor to decision makers.
- Work with internal specialists, product, and engineering teams to package best practices and lessons into methodologies and published assets.
- Interact with sales, partners, and customer technical stakeholders to manage project scope, priorities, deliverables, risks/issues, and timelines for successful customer outcomes.
- Advocate for customer needs in order to overcome adoption blockers and drive new feature development based on field experience.
- Design solution architectures and manage the deployment of cloud-based Big Data and analytics solutions according to complex customer requirements and implementation best practices.
