Security System Internship

As a Security System Maintenance Manager, you will oversee the maintenance, operation, and optimization of various security systems, including CCTV cameras, access control systems, fire alarms, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches.
You will be responsible for ensuring these systems are functioning efficiently and effectively to provide a safe and secure environment for the organization.
**Responsibilities**:
- **Maintenance Oversight**:Develop and implement maintenance schedules for all security systems, ensuring regular inspections and preventative maintenance are conducted.
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized maintenance tasks and equipment servicing.
standby and Respond promptly to any system malfunctions or failures, troubleshooting issues and implementing corrective actions.
- **System Optimization**:Continuously assess the performance of security systems and identify potiential faulty parts for improvement.
Optimise and Recommend upgrades or enhancements to existing systems to enhance security and efficiency.
Stay informed about advancements in security technology and make recommendations for adopting new technologies where appropriate.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and upgrades.
Generate reports on system performance, highlighting any trends or recurring issues. Minutues to record all communication, solutions and instruction from Client.
Provide regular updates to management on the status of security systems and any recommended actions. Tender for Project, Site briefing, submit Quotation and Payment documenetations.
- **Team Management**:Guide and Lead a team of technicians responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems.
Provide training and guidance to team members on proper maintenance procedures and troubleshooting techniques.
Foster a collaborative and positive work environment within the team.
- **Compliance and Regulations**:Ensure that all security systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Stay up-to-date on legal requirements related to security systems and implement necessary changes to maintain compliance.
**Requirements**:
- **Education**:Dilpoma or Degree in Security System, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field. Relevant certifications in security system maintenance and management are desirable. Safety Courses certified by WSH will be priority.
- **Experience**:Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintaining and managing security systems, with a focus on CCTV cameras, access control systems, fire alarms, and PoE switches.
Proven experience in troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing effective solutions.
- **Technical Skills**:Proficiency in configuring and maintaining CCTV camera systems, access control systems, fire alarm systems, and PoE switches.
Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, with the ability to manage networked security devices.
Familiarity with relevant software and tools for system monitoring and maintenance.
- **Leadership Abilities**:Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- **Analytical Thinking**:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and implement solutions in a timely manner.
Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and security.
- **Regulatory Knowledge**:Familiarity with relevant regulations and standards governing security systems, such as GDPR, HIPAA, and local building codes.
Ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and implement necessary changes to meet standards.
- **Adaptability**:Flexibility to adapt to changing technologies and business requirements.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks based on urgency and importance.
