**Department Insights**
The RWEST Steel Complex team is a growing desk within RWE focused on the expansion of the industrial commodity portfolio. The team is currently trading steel, coking coal, iron ore derivatives and some physical products. The desk plans to expand into other related strategies and products.

The RWEST Steel Complex team are looking for support in their growth in existing activities, as well as someone who can bring innovative views and knowledge, is motivated and adaptable in their work ethic.

**Your future plans**
- Contribution to the growth of the team in terms of contacts, business ideas and overall knowledge.
- Development of derivative business in new materials.
- Offer high quality insight and analysis relating to relevant markets and geographies and present insights and analysis to the wider team.
- Develop views on market drivers and their price implications
- Building relationships with key contacts and counterparties

**Your powerful skills**
- A strong analytical understanding of the Chinese macro economy
- Profound exposure to commercial transaction, valuation or execution of derivatives
- Proficient in the physical behaviour of commodities, preferably in the ferrous and/or base metal space
- Deep comprehension of energy commodity markets and their role in the wider commodity space
- Ability to reason logically, analytically and making instant decisions in high stress situations
- A team player with strong work ethics, drive, willingness to learn and adaptability to changing processes
- Excellent communication skills in English and Mandarin with additional German language skills being advantageous
